Mini Me
Mommy & me dressing has always been around but never interested me when dressing myself and my daughter. Maybe this is because I always found it a bit too cutesy or something that never really resonated with either of our styles. While she is only 6, my daughter has her own unique style and has been dressing herself regularly for a while. Not to mention, our styles are pretty different. She prefers head-to-toe sequins, I do not.
That’s why it’s a surprise that both her and I want to wearing matching clothes and accessories recently. You may have noticed a surge in new mommy and me collections recently but there is something different about this new era of mini me fashion. These lines are modern and fresh and appeal to both mothers and daughters. From dreamy, of the moment Nap dresses to bejeweled headbands, suddenly our styles have met somewhere in the middle. Some styles are coming from brands I might already own like Sea or Hill House while others from brands she normally wears like Pink Chicken or Maisonette. This recent crop of matching fashion is updated and chic. Perfect to wear on its own or along side your mini this Mother’s day or any day.
